Bringing many joys of outdoor living to your home by providing, quality plants and accessories for every garden. Encouraging our customers to be good stewards of the earth through responsible gardening and conservation of our natural resources.
A few ways we are achieving our mission:
Whenever possible, we buy our plants locally. Most of our primary plant stock comes from within 100 miles of our garden market. What’s not purchased within that 100 miles is purchased within our region or state.* This not only provides you with a well acclimated plant but it stimulates our local economy and reduces the amount of fossil fuels used in the delivery of our stock. (*from time to time we may purchase plants outside of our state or region so we are able to bring our customers certain specialty plants or products, we are very conscience of these purchases and keep them to a minimum – usually once or twice a year. )
Our garden products are practical, people and earth friendly ones. Our garden tools are well made, durable, with many made in the USA. Many of them are created with ergonomics in mind, helping reduce fatigue and allowing you to do repetitive tasks with ease. Some of our other products, like rain barrels, will help you save on water bills or reduce the water you use from your well to maintain your plants. We carry Great American Rain Barrels, which are made of recycled olive barrels, imported to the US, and then repurposed rather than thrown in a landfill.
We offer our customers educational opportunities as well, giving our customers the right tools to be successful in their gardening efforts. Learn how to properly plant trees and shrubs, when to fertilize, what plants attract the birds, how to set up a square foot garden, and much more. Our educational opportunities are not limited to adults. We also offer children’s gardening workshops that help instill the love of outdoors and gardening to little sprouts.
